Honey Drink for Sickness

Servings: 1

2 Tablespoons Cox’s Liquid Honey

1/2 Teaspoon Cinnamon

1/4 Teaspoon Ground Ginger (or, if you are a little daring, do fresh Ginger!)

Hot Water

Heat water. Bam, so easy.

In mug, combine Honey, Cinnamon, and  Ginger. Stir until completely mixed!

Fill with Hot Water and stir, once again.

BE CAREFUL! IT’S HOT!! You can add one little ice cube if you want.  😉 Taste it. Do you like it? NO? Adjust it to your liking! No rules here.


This drink is perfect for a sore throat, cold (cough) or flu, or just for any occasion!

Honey: Anti-Bacterial, Anti-Inflammatory, Full of Antioxidants Anti-fungal, Soothing, and sweet!

Cinnamon: Anti-Bacterial, Anti-Inflammatory, Full of Antioxidants Anti-fungal, Has a little kick, and Warming!

Ginger: Fights infection, Gets rid of mucus, Anti-Inflammatory, and Spicy!


Can I just say that this is one of my most favorite drinks on the planet. The sweet Honey, ‘home-y’ Cinnamon and spicy Ginger, delicious! It’s best right after you wake up, I think. For me, it definitely reminds me of home. I was always cold, so I put the water on to warm, mixed the honey and spices, and drank it up. Like I said earlier, if you have a sore throat from being sick, talking or singing, it works like a charm. Also, you might loose some weight from drinking this everyday, I know I lost a few pounds.
